Chapter 2: The Awakening Early the next morning, Starchy the Cream-Puff was doing his janitorial duties by making the rounds of the Candy Kingdom and taking out the trash. He drove the Candy Kingdom Sanitation Services truck up through the alley where the Wizard Bros had just been the night before. Starchy lowered the candy cane forklift of the truck to tip the dumpster upside down and pour its contents into the back of the garbage truck. As the candy trash spilled into the truck an odd shape caught Starchy’s eye. “Well, that’s funny. Starchy thought he just saw the outline of a body in that dumpster. Hmm, oh well,” he shrugged and continued on to the next garbage stop. But he didn’t get far when he took a look out the side mirror of the truck to see behind him. As he looked in that mirror, he noticed some trash hanging out the side of the truck that appeared very much like a hand. Starchy gasped and slammed on the brakes.
